Carnauba wax, also called Brazil wax and palm wax, is a natural wax from the leaves of the carnauba palm from north-eastern Brazil. This “queen of waxes” is used extensively in automobile waxes, shoe polishes, dental floss, food products, instrument polishes, floor and furniture waxes and polishes and surfboard wax.

Because carnauba wax is natural and has great hypoallergenic and emollient properties, it is also used in cosmetics such as foundation, lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow and deodorant, skin care and sun care products.
